A loan of $1,450 helped to buy a lot of fodder for piglets, and five beehives.

Davit's story

Davit is 24 years old, and he lives in the village of Vazashen, which is in Tavush region. Davit lives with his wife, small daughter (9 months old) and parents. His father is disabled and retired, and the only person that helps Davit around their farm is his mother. His mother also works both at the local school as a deputy director, and as an Armenian history teacher at the church. Davit is engaged in farming, including keeping 15 piglets and 12 chickens, at present. The profits from farming have helped him very much, to cover the expenses of his marriage party and of buying furniture for their house. Davit manages swine breeding, and he wants to try his luck in beekeeping with the hope of increasing the family's income. That is why he asks a loan of 600,000 Armenian drams, which he will use to buy a lot of fodder for piglets and five beehives. This is Davit’s first deal with Kiva lenders, but his mother has already once taken a loan from Nor Horizon. His mother paid back her loan without any delays, so his mother is a perfect example for him of being responsible and punctual.
