A loan of $650 helped a member to buy more grocery items to resell at her store.

Sorn's Group's story

A 52-year-old mother of seven children, Soan is the breadwinner in the family because she is a widow. She is able to earn about 25,000 KHR per day from her current business, grocery selling, which she has managed for 10 years.

This is not the first loan for Soan with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner). She has fully repaid her previous loan already, and it enabled her to support her business in good time. Now, she forms a group of two, to apply for a new loan. She will spend her loan portion to buy more grocery items to resell at her store. She hopes that she can replenish her business inventory on time and get more customers, so she can earn more income to support herself and her family.
