A loan of $1,350 helped to buy supplies for maintaining her coffee crop.

Lourdes Graciela's story

Doña Lourdes is 37 years old, a mother of five children, and completed her education up to the fifth grade of primary school. In the company of her partner, they work the land. Both have been coffee growers for many years; their parents taught them. The land that they work is their own, thanks to effort put forth for many years. The land is close to their house and they walk the distance daily. Since they are in the company of their children, they are only involved in different jobs in the countryside, like cleaning, cutting, fertilizing, etc. Their customers are the intermediaries who come to the area to acquire a good product, their neighbors, and their friends in the surrounding areas.

Doña Lourdes has asked COMIXMUL for financial support that would allow her to buy supplies like leaf fertilizer, manure, and fertilizer in order to maintain her coffee crops. Her plans for the future are to have her crops engineered and to be able to increase them a little more so that she can generate greater income for her home and her family since agriculture is her only means of income for covering the different household expenses, like food, clothing, and medicine with restrictions, among other things.
