A loan of $4,075 helped a member to buy a washing machine.

Las Malvinas Group's story

The “Las Malvinas” communal bank has 10 responsible members who seek to improve more every day. This is Rebeca’s case. She’s 45-years-old, married and has three children. In order to get ahead and provide better quality of life for her family, Rebeca has carried out a variety of activities like cooking and cleaning. She currently is providing laundry services and her main customers are local neighbors in her zone. Rebeca feels happy because thanks to her work she’s been able to help support her children’s schooling.

Aiming at continuing to improve she requested the loan because she’ll buy a washing machine that will make her work easier. Her greatest wish is to see her children become fulfilled professionals. The Las Malvinas group thanks Kiva lenders for the support provided. Rebeca is second from the right wearing a gray jacket. Rosa was unable to be present due to work.
