A loan of $1,000 helped to buy fertilizer and supplies to be used for the maintenance of his coffee plantation.

Jose Edulfo's story

Jose is 28 years old, married, with four children. He lives in a neighborhood in the town of San Cristobal, Lempira. He has always worked as a farmer. For the past ten years he has been growing coffee. He does this in order to earn money. He sells his product in the local market. He is asking for this loan of 20,000 Lempiras in order to buy fertilizers and supplies to be used to maintain his coffee plantation. This is the only way he can have a good harvest. His plan is to improve his crops so that he can fix his home and provide his children with a good education.
