A loan of $850 helped to buy food products such as fish, flour, rice, and stock to sell in her home business.

Aurora's story

Aurora is divorced. She finished the eighth grade and lives in her own home. She has seven children, two of whom are in university and two of whom are in high school; the rest of them have already completed their studies. Aurora has a business selling groceries. She sells some out of her home, and the most popular products, such as corn, she delivers directly to her clients' houses and collects the payments at the end of the month. She will use this loan to buy food products such as fish, flour, rice, and stock. In the future she would like to buy a truck to transport merchandise, since she pays a lot of money to transport products from the place where she buys them and therefore makes low profits. This would allow her to expand her business and request further loans from Hluvuku.
