Japalante Ndiolofene Group's story

The loan group "JAPALANTE NDIOLOFENE" whose name means "solidarity" is composed of six good and honest women who do commerce in a variety of goods. The women are here to request their first loan at the microfinance institution U-IMCEC in order to improve their small-scale commerce. The president, Penda, is a 57-year-old woman who dyes cloth and sells the goods produced. She has ten years of experience in this domain. She is married and has five children, from 15 to 25 years old. She has no expenses, except for personal expenses. But even so, she works to improve her family's food situation. Penda's day starts at 8 AM and ends at 6 PM. She is requesting this loan in the amount of 350,000 francs to bolster her working capital. With the profits from her business, she would like to furnish her bedroom.
