A loan of $1,350 helped to buy agricultural supplies for her coffee crop.

Celsa's story

Celsa, 29, is the mother of three children two of which attend different grades in primary school; one is younger. She completed fifth grade of primary education and thanks her parents for the support they gave her so she could go to school. She and her spouse have worked in agriculture for more than nine years since they learned to work thanks to their families who taught them how to work in this activity while they were still very young. They specialize in growing coffee but also sell bananas and plantain. The land they work is their own thanks to an inheritance from their parents that have allowed them to earn income by means of agriculture and not just through commerce.

Celsa is asking for help to buy supplies like fertilizer, manure, fungicide and others that help keep the crops healthy and safe from infestations that weaken them over time.

Like a mother, her plans are to continue working hard so that her children won’t be without schooling and can become professionals. As a wife, to continue to support her spouse so that together they can continue building an estate for their children so that in future they’ll know that they have backup to face economic problems among others.
