A loan of $1,225 helped to buy basic grains like corn and beans.

Oscar Enrique's story

Oscar, 35, lives in the city of Boaco; he’s the father of four children. He’s a merchant selling basic grains and has been in business two years. He started out buying two quintals of beans and to sell them he’d head out to the highways in the city’s outskirts to sell to everyone who passed by. He’d also go to other communities seeking customers to sell his products to. Profits earned he’d save to buy more grain like corn and wheat to offer variety.

He’s currently asking for a loan to buy basic grains like corn and beans at wholesale because he wants to expand his sales routes and needs product to sell. Among his future plans is the wish to have his own locale to sell basic grains at wholesale and a pick-up truck to transport himself and his products outside the city.
