A loan of $1,250 helped to purchase bull-calves.

Gulgaaky's story

Gulgaaky is 38 years old, and has three children. As a source of income for her family, Gulgaaky works with livestock breeding and sale of milk, after having started this business 10 years ago with the purchase of two calves. She has developed this to 15 sheep and goats, one cow with offspring and 0.40 hectares of irrigated land with beans and beets. Further, being an active person, Gulgaaky founded a business of sewing national clothing and repairing clothes. Her husband helps her with marketing the products.

With an aim to further develop her business, Gulgaaky turned to the microfinance bank "Bai Tushum & Partners" for a loan in the amount of 60,000 som (KGS) for the purchase of two bulls. Gulgaaky plans to invest the income from the loan in increasing the number of livestock, in order to pay for her son's education.
