A loan of $725 helped to purchase livestock.

Nargul's story

Nargul is 38 years old and has two children. As a source of income for her family, Nargul raises livestock and grows produce, having launched this business in 1997 with a starting capital of 2,000 KGS. Thanks to Nargul’s hard work, her farm now includes one cow with young, two heads of small cattle and one ha [2.5 acre] of arable land for growing beans and beets.

In order to develop her business further, Nargul turned to the Bai Tushum & Partners microfinance institution for a loan in the amount of 35,000 intended to increase her small cattle headcount. Nargul plans to invest her revenues into a further expansion of her livestock, and to renovate her house in the near future.
