A loan of $925 helped to buy metal replacement parts for her business.

Enith's story

Enith, age 58, is a hard-working and committed woman. She is divorced, but she lives comfortably in her own house with her last son, age 21. Enith sells replacement parts for vehicles. In order to do so, she has a warehouse at her ex-husband’s house. He is the father of her son, and she maintains a commercial relationship with him. She gets the tools from another city in order to later sell them to the local shops or directly to customers who have vehicles.

She has been working in this business activity for seven years, and she does so with help from another person. What she likes about her business activity is the income she gets, which she uses to pay the household expenses. She also pays the university expenses for her son, whom she loves very much. Additionally, she has managed to use the income to buy some appliances, and she has been able to make repairs to her house. Now that she is older, she only plans to maintain her business or devote herself to a business activity that is less intense.

This is her sixth loan with Kiva. She is very grateful for the loan opportunity being provided to her in order to get ahead. Therefore, she pledges to make her payments punctually. She will use the requested 2,500 soles to buy metal replacement parts for her business.
