A loan of $700 helped to buy fertilizer, seeds, pesticide, and herbicide to plant 7,000 square meters of corn and to pay to rent the land.

Eduardo Antonio's story

Eduardo is 26 years old and single. He has been working in agriculture for several years. He learned this trade from his mother, since he grew up without a father. He gets up at 4:00 a.m. with his mother to get ready to go to the land parcel he rents. He spends the whole day working and at night is a caretaker at a farm. He buys fertilizer, seeds, poison, etc. in the city, walking 2 km to get to the main road to catch the bus that takes him to town where he buys the materials at a cheaper price.

The loan he is asking for from Fundación Campo is to buy fertilizer, seeds, pesticide and herbicide to plant 7,000 square meters and pay to rent the land. With the harvest, he will have good income to support his mother and himself. He plans on buying some land to build his house and give his mother a better quality of life.
