A loan of $3,400 helped a member to purchase cosmetic products to resell.

Ramata's Group's story

The 'banc villageois' has existed since April 7, 2011. And this group "PC2" comprises 24 women who are related and living in the same village. Their main work involves commerce and fattening sheep.

Ms. Ramata, the group's representative, is 35 years old, unmarried, and without children. She has been active in the small-scale commerce of cosmetic products with two years of experience. She is the one in the photo standing at the right and dressed in blue. Her arms are folded behind her back.

She sells perfumes, lotions, and body creams in her district by going door to door.

Her loan will be used to purchase some cosmetics valued at 150,000 francs. She is not the only one with a business like this, but she hopes to make much more income.

Her profits will enable her to purchase two rams for fattening.

In this group: Ramata, Moumina, Godel, Ndeye Fatou, Aïssata, Adama, Diarry, Khady, Aminta*, Ouleye, Seynabou, Khady, Aminata, Coumba*, Fatel, Diarra*, Fatou, Mariama Polel, Bineta, Awa, Salla, Awa, Issa, Dieynaba*
