A loan of $3,350 helped a member to buy vegetables.

Tuchukuliane Group's story

The borrower Mukobelwa is the leader of the lending group Tuchukuliane. She is a courageous and experienced entrepreneur, 38 years old and mother of nine children, who are all engaged in their studies. Her spouse works at a laundromat (he does dry cleaning and washing). The borrower is a vegetable seller. She started this business with funds from her husband, around 12 years ago. This new loan is going to be used to buy vegetables, etc. Drought and various losses from spoilage are the major obstacles in the development of her business. In the future, she wishes to grow her business and educate, feed, and clothe her children. She thus thanks Hekima for its support as a micro-lender to female entrepreneurs.
