Jane is married with four children and two of her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members.
She has a beauty salon business and has been in this business for six years. She has applied for loan of 1,600,000 Uganda Shillings from MCDT SACCO to buy more boxes of cream relaxers, weaves, braids and hair oils. She generates additional income from rental rooms.
She works in the shop and sells on a retail basis six days out of every week. Her major business challenges include seasonality and off and on electricity.
She aspires to own a fully stocked beauty salon and also to build her own business premises. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees, paying utility bills and the rent for her business premises.
