Kisanga K Group's story

SALMA who is in her mid 30s is a divorcee with three children who are still going to school. She has been a food vendor for one and a half years now. She works from 6.00 pm to 10.30 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit. This will be SALMA's 2nd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to increase the capital so she could restock the missing items in her food store. She has paid back her loan successfully. She used the profit to cover household expenses and pay school fees. She will use this loan to buy more food to sell to more customers. She dreams of owning a Hotel. Salma will share this loan with her loan group "KISANGA K" which has twelve members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
