A loan of $6,175 helped a member to purchase threads to weave ñanduti (traditional flower prints).

Las Tejedoras Group's story

Las Tejedoras (The Weavers) is a large group of 23 hard-working members who fight to grow their businesses and help their families so that they can have all that they need. They each have a strong desire to keep improving their businesses. Flavia is the president of the group of women weavers. She is requesting the loan to invest in the purchase of threads to weave handmade clothes to later sell. She dedicates herself to weaving ñanduti, which is the traditional and beautiful flower prints common in Paraguay. Flavia says that she is very pleased with what she does because it helps her family and also promotes the love of traditional weaving in the country, helping people to value what is around them.
