A loan of $925 helped to buy parts and maintenance for her vehicles.

Margarita's story

Margarita, 30, is married and has a two-year-old son who she lives with in her parents' house. Margarita makes a living renting out a mototaxi, which is why she bought a low-cost second-hand vehicle.

Furthermore, thanks to the optimism she has always shown and her toiling day-to-day to get ahead, she was able to buy a taxi a few years ago that she also rents out as a public transport service vehicle throughout the principal streets of the city. She has been doing this for three years and thanks to this work, her economic status has improved and she has been able to overcome some of the shortcomings her household was experiencing before.

This is her ninth loan with Kiva and she is very happy to know that she has financial support, since this way she feels more secure moving forward with her work. She also commits to making her payments on time. With the 2500 soles requested, she will buy some parts and will send her vehicles to the automotive workshop for general review and renovation.
