A loan of $1,025 helped to buy construction material and wool for knitting clothing.

Ruth's story

Ruth is 28 years old and has three children, two in school at ages 10 and 7 and a baby of nine months. She makes a living from knitting sweaters, blankets and baby clothing in her home, which is in the Villa Adela area.

This loan is her first sequence with the institution. Ruth is going to use this loan to buy construction material to remodel her house environment, and also to buy wool wholesale to knit her sweaters and blankets. This time of year she has a lot of sales, as it is very cold. She also delivers requests to the various markets of the city of El Alto.

Ruth faces challenges in her business, such as stocking her merchandise, and she is going to utilize the benefits and keep buying her materials wholesale for the knitting of her clothing.
