A loan of $375 helped to buy clothes for men, women and children.

Patty's story

Patty, 33, is married and has a little son living with her in her own house. Patty’s work consists in selling clothes. Because of this she travels to another city to buy her items at wholesale choosing better quality clothes to then resell from place to place at affordable prices. Her sales take place quickly as a rule and she sets up payment plans with her customers always giving them the necessary allowances and prudent time so they will continue to buy new clothes.

She’s been in this business for nine years and since she started she’s been able to obtain some of the material things she’s always wanted. In the same way, three years ago she went into the children’s party decoration business. In this activity she works with another lady and together they make the most creative designs that are then displayed in each party where their services are requested.

She likes her work very much because she can put into practice her undeniable gift for relating to people and developing her creativity in both of them. In future she hopes to reach her goal of having her own clothing store and to continue developing economically.

This is her 7th Kiva loan and she’s very happy to know that she has financial support that will make it possible for her to continue forward with her business which is why she commits to make her payments punctually. She will use the requested 1,000 soles to buy larger amounts of merchandise consisting of clothes for women, men and children.
