A loan of $550 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Gurlli's story

Gurlli, 54, is married living in her own house with her husband and one of her children. Gurlli works selling food items like soft-drinks, flour and rice, among others. Thanks to her effort and support from her husband she’s opened a store where she sells these products. The business is stable and it helps her improve her and her family’s quality of life.

Like all enterprising women, Gurlli hopes her store will succeed and grow so that she can supply her customers offering them better service and quality. For Gurlli this is her first Kiva loan so she’s grateful for the economic support received and she’ll demonstrate this by being responsible and punctual with her payments. She will use the 1,500 soles to buy soft-drinks, rice, milk, etc.
