A loan of $3,000 helped to pay for six calves.

Gagik's story

Gagik is an attractive young farmer. He learned how to farm when he was little boy, and now when the family's father works abroad and financially supports the family, Gagik is the head of the family. Gagik lives with his mother (in the photo) and 80-year-old grandmother (in the photo). Gagik breeds cattle. His livestock currently includes chickens, pigs, seven cows and 13 calves. Unfortunately, the income that Gagik's father sends from abroad is hardly enough for covering even the minimal costs of the family. So, in order to tackle the financial hardship, Gagik sells the gathered milk and meat produced and gets income. Realizing that agriculture is very important for family, Gagik wants to expand his farm. By requesting this loan, Gagik wants to purchase six calves. This will enable him to fatten them and then sell with higher prices. The loan is very important for Gagik to be able to increase agricultural income and provide better conditions for his family.
