Danaya Iii Group's story

The 10 members of the DANAYA III group are married women. They are 37 years old on average and have an average of five children. Most of them live in polygamous families in Diassela, a village in the Koulikoro region, in the second administrative region of Mali.

They work with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso in order to better organize their businesses at the start of the rainy season. The crops they plant include peanuts, millet, and beans. This is their third collaboration with the institution.

With this new loan, FAKOUMA OUSMANE, the first person at left in the front row, would like to buy farm inputs, equipment, and plowing for 1.5 hectares of millet, peanuts, and beans.

After the harvest, they sell their crops in the city of Beleco to a clientele of men and women. She would like to earn a profit of 120,000 FCFA per season.
