Benkadi Iii Group's story

The seven members of the group "BENKADI III" are married women averaging 31 years of age and four children each. They live for the most part in polygamous families in Nianguela Socoro, a village in Commune de Benkadi, Préfecture de Dioïla, Région de Koulikoro (2nd administrative region of the Republic of Mali). The women are collaborating with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso to carry out their work at the start of the rainy season. The crops grown include peanuts, rice and beans. The women are on their first collaboration with the institution.

With this loan, DIARA, who is the [first] person standing from the right, intends to purchase farm inputs and sundry equipment and to pay for plowing for maintaining about 1 hectare of peanuts and beans.

After the harvest, the produce is sold in Beleco City to a customer base composed of men and women. She plans on making a profit of about 105,000 francs CFA per planting.

In this group: Karia, Safoura, Sata, Mariam, Setou, Hawa, Diara
