Andrew Mutuku's story

Andrew is a student at Strathmore. This is his story.
My name is Andrew; I take this opportunity to apply for the KIVA Loan, having done the Strathmore University Entrance Exam and passed. I am the firstborn in a family of three. Both of my siblings are in schools, one in high school four and the other in primary. My parents work as peasant farmers in the dry lands of Kitui County. In my district there are only a few who have managed to study up to the University Level, mainly due to lack of financial capabilities. I completed secondary education in 2012 emerging as the second best in the K.C.S.E Exams in my school. I want to study Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) as I dream of becoming an accountant. In future, am willing to help other needy people in the society without favor irrespective of the community they emerge from. In future, I am ready to hold hands with the Strathmore Fraternity through the KIVA Loan Scheme, to help more students benefit from this noble Course.
