A loan of $1,500 helped to purchase three bulls and their fodder to start a business of fattening and reselling cattle.

Toir's story

Toir is a 20 years old young man. He is single and lives with his parents, sister and brother in the city of Dushanbe. Toir is a herdsman. He helps his father with breeding cattle. He also has a dairy cow with a calf, which he looks after himself. Every morning his mother milks the cow, and sells the five liters of milk to her customers. Currently, Toir would like to start his own livestock breeding business, as he has now acquired sufficient experience in this business. He intends to purchase around three heads of cattle per month, and after having fattened them, sell them at the local market with a good profit. Toir has a starting capital of the amount of around 7,000 somoni (TJS). Nonetheless, he needs to take a loan. For the loan amount and the savings, Toir would like to purchase three bulls and their fodder, and also expand the cowshed and carry out repair work there. He will appreciate the support very much. Thanks to the loan he will finally have his own business and expand it in the future.
