A loan of $5,025 helped a member to buy eight sacks of dried beans.

Nuru Group's story

Mabengwa is the treasurer of the loan group called « Nuru ». She is a valiant young entrepreneur, 36 years old and the mother of nine children. Her husband is a civil servant in public administration.

Mabengwa sells dried beans. She began this business with some money she received from her husband. This new loan will allow her to buy eight sacks of dried beans. The insecurity in rural areas and the bad condition of the roads serving them are the major difficulties for her in developing her business.

In the future, she wishes to expand her business and put her children through school. Thus, she thanks Hekima for supporting women entrepreneurs through micro-loans.
