Emma's story

This is 48-year-old Emma from Kambia Northern area in Sierra Leone. She is married with 3 children. One of her children is currently attending school.

Emma runs a general store within her community. She sells biscuits, pure water and soft drinks. She has been running this business for the past 22 years. She works at the business from every day, 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. She says that the main challenges to her are price inflation and insufficient capital to operate her business.
