A loan of $325 helped to pay for more gallons of mineral water to expand her product inventory.

Angeles's story

This is Angeles, 36, resident of Payatas, Quezon City, Philippines. She is married to Arnel, a driver, and mother to her children. She, together with her husband, manages their own household while operating the business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for her everyday expenses. Angeles is a mineral water distributor. What she basically does is buy mineral water in containers from wholesalers and sell it per container (5 gallons per container) with a profit. Her regular customers for her mineral water are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of Php 500 in sales every day. To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a Php 13,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more gallons of mineral water to expand her product inventory. Angeles hopes that her business will grow and dreams of giving her children a good life and education. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week and draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies. * All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.
