A loan of $3,000 helped a member to buy clothes and vegetables.

Masekesa Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 45-year-old Cecelia from Masvingo. She is widowed with one child. Cecelia runs a retail business selling clothes and vegetables. The business has been in operation for 23 years. She says the main challenge that she faces is that of the high transport costs of ferrying her goods from Harare. Cecelia has requested a loan of $600 to purchase clothes and vegetables for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her an increase in income, allowing her to buy building materials. In the future, Cecelia plans to build a shop in Save.
