A loan of $375 helped to pay for cloth, thread and other materials she needs for her rug-making business.

Marites's story

This is Marites. She previously accessed a 12,000 PHP loan that she used to purchase quantities of raw materials like fabric, thread and other materials needed in her rug-making business. Her earnings were a big help for the education of her children, and in their personal, household and business expenditures.

She would like to apply for another loan, this time for 15,000 PHP, to buy additional supplies of raw materials needed in her business. Her profits from business will definitely help her to sustain her daily needs and her children’s education. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Marites dreams that her business will continue to grow. She meets with her co-fellowship members* every week, to share stories of her work and to draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
