A loan of $625 helped a member to purchase cosmetic products.

Nageena's Group's story

Nageena is a 28 year old hardworking and diligent woman. She lives in Rawalpindi, Pakistan along her husband and three daughters. Her husband is a government employee but his income is insufficient to meet the household expenses. All of her daughters are studying in government schools. Nageena is an efficient beautician by profession. Since 2006 she has been operating her own beauty salon. Currently the beauty stock of the salon is almost depleted, therefore Nageena wants to purchase cosmetic products to continue her business. For that, as a member of a 2-person borrower group she has requested for a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to purchase beauty products like facial creams, lipsticks, scrubs, makeup kits, hair colors and some other variety of products. She would also buy some new chairs for her salon. With the profits, she will extend her business more by opening one more beauty salon. She dreams to live a happy healthy and peaceful life with her family. She is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan for their support. Note: In the picture Nageena is the one raising her hand.
