Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Mercy's story

Mercy is 30 years old and has two children. She is married and both of her children are in school.

Mercy is in an agricultural business, raising livestock in the Philippines. She has been raising livestock for seven years now, and has borrowed 17 times in the past from NWTF to sustain her business. Mercy requested a 29,500 Philippine peso loan through NWTF to buy feeds and vitamins for her livestock. In the future, Mercy would like to save enough money so she can afford to send her children to college.
