María Manuela's story

María is a happy and kind person who has been part of the Union Progresista community bank for five years. She lives in Santa Ana parish in Cuenca, a place with a cold climate which is surrounded by vegetation and green fields. The inhabitants work as farmers and raising livestock while maintaing the culture and traditions of their ancestors.

María is 53 years old, married, and has 7 children, five of whom are married and live independently. Her other two children are 12 and 9 years old and attend school. She takes care of her home and works as a farmer. She sells what she plants and also uses it for household consumption. She raises and sells chickens, pigs, and cattle, as well as working three days a week as a maid.

She is requesting this loan to purchase chickens and animal feed. Her goal is to grow more in raising livestock.
