Juan Isaac's story

Juan, 33, lives in the El Escobillo district in the outskirts of Boaco. He is married, and is the father of 3 children. He is a farmer who cultivates corn, beans and wheat. He has 18 years of experience in farming.

Juan started working on his father's lands when he was very young, but when he got married he became independent and started to work with his wife on land that they own. He also raises livestock.

At this time, he is cultivating corn, beans and wheat. He is requesting a loan to buy organic and chemical fertilizers, and to pay for labor to plant beans. He hopes to get a good quality harvest, and to improve the fencing that protects his land. His next goal is to get a good harvest of beans so that he can make a good return and pay off his loan, and with the profits he obtains he would like to invest in improving the roof of his house.
