A loan of $775 helped a member to purchase cloth to sell.

Mahougo Group's story

The group MAHOUGO is composed of four persons who live in the same district and who take part in tontines together. The group's representative, Collette Agossi (with her hand raised in the photo) is 55 years old. She has had very little schooling. A widow, she has no children and lives alone. She covers her expenses by herself. For this reason, Collette Agossi has been selling cloth via the distribution method for fifteen years. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to increase her sale and her income, Collette Agossi is requesting, along with the other members of the group MAHOUGO, a second loan from ALIDé. The previous loan was indeed paid back.
