Garmai

A loan of $175 helped to purchase more oil, rice, pepper, Vita, etc., for her business.

Garmai's story

Garmai is 35 years old and lives in Kakata, the capital city of Margibi County, which is the highest production rubber plantation in Liberia. She is single with eight children between the ages of 16 and 4 years old. They are living at home and currently attending school. She was [too] unfortunate to attend school. She has been selling oil, rice, pepper, Vita [a juice drink], etc., in the local market for the past three years. She started this business with money given to her by her mother to help herself, and she learned this way of selling from her friends. She is requesting a loan to purchase more oil, rice, pepper, Vita, etc., for her business. Her plan for the future is to educate all her children.
