A loan of $375 helped to buy red oil, pepper, okra, etc.

Jebbeh's story

Please meet 50-year-old Jebbeh from Paynesville North in Liberia. Paynesville North, which has the largest market in Montserrado County, is home to “round-time marketers”, traders who travel to the interior to purchase various goods to sell throughout the county. As a result, there is a high concentration of wholesalers in the area who distribute to various markets around Montserrado County, including Monrovia.

Jebbeh, who only completed the first grade, is married to a security guard and describes herself as a hardworking person. She has five children between the ages of 15 and 27, two of whom are in school and live at home.

Using money from her husband, 10 years ago Jebbeh started a table market business where she sells red oil, pepper, okra, etc. for 10 hours each day. She transports her goods by shared taxi, and one of her greatest challenges is the rainy season.

With this loan, Jebbeh will buy red oil, pepper, okra, etc. She is proud of her business because it helps to improve the lives of her children. Her plan is to educate them and own a store in the near future. She thanks you in advance for your support!
