A loan of $750 helped to buy organic fertilizer.

Brith's story

Brith is 26 years old, is a single mother, and has an 8 year old daughter. They live together in an adobe house. Brith sells agricultural products such as organic fertilizer and powders for crops. She began her business 2 years ago and what began as a supplemental income now is her primary means of support because previously she supported her parents with various farming chores to earn money to support her daughter. She was able to begin her business with her parents' help because she didn't yet have a financial organization's support to get a loan. So while living with her parents they gave her a bit of merchandise to start her business and gain her first customers and now with the support of her financing organization she can expand her business. With the money she has earned she was able to expand her business and buy a small piece of land where she planted organic cacao that she harvest with the help of local workers, and this serves to improve her income. One of her primary objectives is to improve her business and buy another parcel of land to expand her cacao production. With this loan she seeks 2000 nuevos soles to stock her business with organic fertilizer, which is very sought after by her customers.
