A loan of $3,000 helped to pay for six pigs and forage for feeding them.

Rudik's story

Rudik is a farmer with 20 years of experience. He breeds cattle and cultivates potato. He learned how to farm when he was very young and now agriculture is the only source of income for him and his family.

Rudik lives in small village called Hartashen, which is located in one of the coldest regions of Armenia, Syunik. Locals there are mostly involved in cattle breeding and some limited land cultivation. Rudik's wife helps him to milk cows and uses it in cheese production. Rudik sells the cheese and cultivated potato in the local open markets.

This is the only source of income for Rudik's family. Unfortunately because of the high poverty level in the region, the income that the family gets is hardly enough for covering daily costs.

With this loan, Rudik would like to purchase six pigs and forage for feeding them. He plans to keep them for some period, fatten them and then sell them for higher prices.

This loan is very important for Rudik to be able to earn higher income and sustain his children’s' life (Rudik has school age daughter and son). He awaits your support.
