A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase a new motorbike and expand their business selling vegetables.


Sean's story

Mr. Sean S., 38, and his wife, Mrs. Sophal Chi, 29, who live in a small village off of National Road Two about twenty kilometers south of Phnom Penh, married in 1999 and have four children: one son and three daughters. Two of them are in local school.



Mr. Sean has been growing vegetables (see photo) for twenty years. His wife has been selling vegetables for seventeen years. She buys them from Ta Khmao market and some from her own farm and carries them on her motorcycle for re-sale in Phnom Penh.



Mr. Sean is requesting a loan of US$ 1000 to purchase a new motorcycle to replace their old one and to expand his wife's business.
