Sorunkadie Ii Group's story

In the photo are members of the “Sorunkadie II” group. They are small-scale business people based in Kabala, a town in northern Sierra Leone. This is the first loan these entrepreneurs are accessing from SMT/Kiva lenders. With this loan, they will be able to expand their respective businesses, make more profit, and consequently improve their standard of living. The featured leader of this group is Yarawah. Yarawah is married to a businesswoman/farmer. He has two children who are attending primary schools. Yarawah is a tailor and has been practicing this profession for eight years now. Through his job as a tailor, Yarawah has been able to build himself a tailoring shop and a dwelling house as well as support his children in school. Irrespective of these great successes, Yarawah needs a loan in order to buy more working materials so that he will be able to sew a larger quantity of clothes to sell.
