A loan of $2,400 helped a member to buy winter wear to resell in urban and peri-urban areas around Mutare.

Emmanuel Group's story

This is 41 year-old Evelyn from Mutare, the capital of Minicaland province in Zimbabwe. She is a single parent with four children and one is attending school. She also cares for two other dependents. Evelyn runs a retail business which sells clothes and footwear. The business has been in operation for 13 years. She says the main challenge she is facing is that of late payments from clients who buy on credit. Evelyn has requested a loan of $600 in order to buy blankets, tracksuits, bags and boots to resell this winter season. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve the family's general welfare. In the future, Evelyn plans to own some business properties.
