A loan of $250 helped to pay for materials and products needed in manicure and pedicure like nail polish, nail polish remover, cuticle remover, nail cutter, nail file and other products.

Susan's story

This is Susan. She previously accessed an 8,000 PHP loan that she used for purchasing materials and products needed in manicure and pedicure, like nail polish, nail polish remover, cuticle remover, nail cutter, nail file and other products. Her earnings were a big help for the education of her children and in their personal, household and business expenditures. She also sells street foods for additional income.

She would like to apply for another loan, this time for 10,000 PHP, to buy new equipment and materials needed for her barber shop. Her profits from the business will definitely help sustain her daily needs and the educational expenses of her children. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Susan hopes to expand her business and dreams that her children will finish their studies. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members every week to share stories of her work and to also draw strength and inspiration from the word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
