A loan of $250 helped to pay for more stocks of charcoal needed in her business.

Elizabeth's story

This is Elizabeth, 38, a resident of Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. She is married to Alex, an employee. She is a mother to her children. She, with the help of her husband, manages their household while operating the business. They both work hard to provide for their everyday needs. Elizabeth buys and sells charcoal. She buys a big quantity of charcoal and then sells it in plastic bags or per sack. She also sells barbecue for additional income. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of Php 550 in sales every day.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a Php 10,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more stocks of charcoal and additional capital for her barbecue business.

Elizabeth dreams of expanding her business and hopes to have a good life. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week and where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.
