Beatrice's story

Beatrice is a 40-year-old married lady who supports a family of eight. She is a mother of six children, aged between 14 and 24 years. Beatrice has operated a beauty salon in the outskirts of Narok town for the last 10 years, making a monthly income of 15,000 KES (Kenyan shillings). She learnt about KADET LTD from one of her regular clients in her salon, who is a registered member. She has been advanced a first loan of 30,000 KES, which will facilitate her refurbishment of her salon as well as enable her to buy additional weaves and hair extensions. She will use the proceeds to pay fees for her children. Her plan is to open a barber shop so as to expand her business. She hopes to raise her family's living standards.
