A loan of $850 helped to buy cattle.

Azam's story

Azam is 42 years old and he is married with four children. He has been raising livestock for 20 years and he has much experience in this area. He buys cattle at the bazaar, feeds them for two or three months and then resells them for meat. He also supplements his income by raising crops on his two hectares of land. His elder son is a migrant worker in the Russian Federation and he sends money to his parents whenever possible. Azam's wife works on an orchard farm. Their main income is generated from the cattle raising, which is why Azam is trying to expand his business.

At the moment, Azam wants to purchase cows but he does not have enough cash in hand for this. He decided to apply for a loan from Arvand. Azam has big plans for the future; he dreams of being able to give his children a good education, which is why he works day and night to fulfill his plans. On receiving the loan, Azam plans to purchase livestock and increase the size of his herd.
