A loan of $625 helped a member to expand the butcher shop.

Noor's Group's story

Noor is 40 years old and a hardworking and diligent woman. She has three children and her husband has been running a butcher shop for 10 years. He sells fresh meat and his clients are very satisfied with his services because of which, his customer base is increasing with the passage of time. Currently he wants to renovate his butcher shop to attract more customers. He would build one more room in his shop to add some more space as the current space is too congested. For that purpose, as a member of a two-person borrower group, Noor has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan. As this business is the only source of income for her family, this loan is very important for them. Noor would spend the profit amount on the education of her children and would make them good responsible citizens of Pakistan. NOTE: In the picture, Noor is raising her hand.
