A Gloria le gusta mucho interactuar con la gente, es por ello que trabaja en una asociación como secretaria brindándole atención a la gente que le visita; de esa forma contribuye y apoya a su comunidad. Por este trabajo que ella realiza recibe un salario con lo que ella aporta recursos económicos para el sostenimiento de su familia y el de ella misma.
Por otra parte ella cuenta con una pequeña tienda de abarrotes en la comunidad donde vive, con la cual también genera pequeños ingresos que complementan el sostenimiento de su familia.
Actualmente ella solicita un préstamo de Q 5,000.00 para compra de una refrigeradora para conservar productos perecederos que vende dentro de su tienda.
Sueña con ampliar su tienda y mejorar el servicio hacia sus clientes y mejorar e incrementar sus ingresos.

ADICLA's youth entrepreneurship loans allow young people without prior credit histories to borrow in groups, an opportunity that is not offered by many other microfinance institutions in Guatemala. The loans will be used to help them start small businesses.


ADICLA (Association for the Holistic Development of the Basin of Lake Atitlán) is nonprofit rural community development association that provides small loans and services to improve quality of life in two of the poorest regions of Guatemala, home to large indigenous populations. Kiva funding will be used to support three innovative credit initiatives: youth business loans, green loans, and smaller loans to help ADICLA move down-market and serve poorer clients.
